Meet the Culinary Team

Chef Kate

Kate McCandless

A seasoned culinary professional with over 20 years of experience, Kate holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Restaurant Management from The Culinary Institute of America and is Pro Chef 2 certified. She has worked at prestigious establishments such as The Rittenhouse Hotel, Manele Bay Hotel, and Red Square, and honed her skills in Italy during an apprenticeship at The Country House Montali. A passionate educator, she served as Lead Culinary Instructor at Yorktowne Business Institute and contributed to major venues like Oriole Park and TD Garden Arena with Delaware North Sportservice.

Chef Angie

Angie Gilbert

Originally from Cambodia, Angie’s passion for baking began at an early age, when making cakes and cookies for her siblings helped her learn how to read and write in English. Angie secured an apprenticeship with The Hotel Hershey, where she honed her skills as a pastry cook, and then went on to work at The Patisserie as a pastry chef. In 2004, Angie joined HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE WORLD and now manages a team in creating specialty cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and other desserts inspired by Hershey’s confections. Her daily innovations consistently reflect her enthusiasm and creativity.
